Alan’s work to date straddles the boundaries of contemporary craft, sculpture and architecture and has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Graduating with a Masters in Architecture from University College Dublin in September 2015, Alan currently works from his studio in County Laois, imagining and creating one of a kind and speculative pieces for both public and private clients. Completed projects include; one of a kind furniture, public space design, and a collection of sculptural wood-turned vessels.

''We want to feel the weight of things we can hold in our hands, an emotional connection. In a world that moves at speed, handmade belongings and small ceremonies are important. Making tea, mending clothes, growing food– and a dozen other everyday sacraments besides that celebrate mindfulness and presence, connections with places and experiences, reminders perhaps of what is real. Alan Meredith has a feeling for what is real.''    Stephen Tierney, Architect.

Recent Awards include The Golden Fleece special award 2023 while Alan’s work was Exhibited at Collect - The Leading International Fair for Contemporary Craft and Design 2024  and  at Salon, Park Avenue Armory, with Liz O'Brien Gallery. Alan's solo exhibition ''Quercu'' was shown at Lavit Gallery Cork in March 2024.
