Improvisations on the theme of an Irish stone wall.


A sculptural installation by twenty international and Irish wood artists.

This work brought together ten of the most intriguing and creative wood artists practicing today from all over the world, alongside ten of Ireland’s leading practitioners. The group of sculptors, furniture makers, carvers and turners worked together under the artistic direction of Terry Martin (AUS). Over a week-long studio-based collaborative work creative week-long process in Carlow in June 2013. The large-scale sculpture in the form of a wall, approximately 12 feet in length was installed in the VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art for Eigse 2013. The piece subsequently toured to Dublin Airport in 2014. Photo Harry Reid
